ADVERTISING INFORMATION & CONDITIONS

Deadline 1st March 2007.

Catalogue page size is A4 - Black & White.

Usable area for advert 29.7cm high x 21cm wide.

You can supply digital copy with no constraints on composition other than the size limit above, or you can supply photos and wording for us to compose a "standard advert" on your behalf.

Make sure your advertising copy complies with appropriate standards and legislation.

Standard Adverts

Send us the material, together with payment, and we will scan your photos (max. 2 per page) and prepare your advert in a standard format, which would typically include:-

• Title (usually kennel name)
• Subtitle
• Photo
• Name of dog
• Pedigree information
• Commentary, achievements etc. (on dog or kennel)
• Contact details

within a simple border.

• Print your title clearly at the top of the page
• Draw shape/s indicating the desired position/s of your photograph/s and mark a letter on the back of each photo to correspond to the same letter on the appropriate shape. Print your name and dog’s name clearly on the back of the photo (use a sticker to avoid damaging photo). Do not mark the front of the photo or use paper clips or pins. Crop photos to desired shape – we will scale to size when scanning.
• Write your copy clearly in the approximate place you wish it to appear. Also write any sub-titles below the spaces where the photos are to appear.
• Print your name, address, telephone number, web site and email (if applicable), at the bottom of the page.
• We reserve the right to make minor alterations. Major alterations will be discussed with the advertiser.

Digital Copy

Send your completed digital advert on CD or DVD, together with payment and printed copy.

Acceptable file formats are Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, TIFF, and JPEG. For other formats, check first.

If using Microsoft Word, don’t be too fancy with your layout (Word can have a mind of its own). Use the default A4 settings of 29.7cm high x 21cm wide. If using a page border, make sure the border stays within the allowed dimensions. If using uncommon fonts, you will also need to send copies of the TrueType font files.
